Barahi Jungle Lodge with its selective location on the banks of Rapti is set in a small village of Tharus. The lodge adjoining the forest from two sides offers a breathtaking view of the National Park from its river facing stand-alone cottages. The ambience and the style of interior of our wildlife resort in Chitwan gives a stunning insight into the aboriginal Tharu culture of Nepal interlaced with wilderness of Chitwan.
The architecture and interiors seamlessly blend with the jungle. The architecture includes use of local bamboo, sustainable wood in furnishing and decoration highlighted with elegant interiors. The lodge is river facing imbued with a sense of serenity. Moreover, the lodge has got an infinity pool for relaxation and for observing wildlife from the comforts of the lodge. The lodge also has a quality wellness spa that offers Ayurvedic therapies. Since the lodge is located near the river, it serves as a starting point for all the various activities which makes our lodge unique.
There are several ways to explore Chitwan’s wilderness. Jeep safari, Boat safari, Jungle walks, Elephant safari will keep one amused. Village visits on foot or bullock are also organized to provide a sneak peek into the cultural aspect of Chitwan. Tharu cultural dance performance by a local group is organized at the lodge in the evenings.
Spreading over 12 hectares, the lodge offers 34 deluxe boutique guest rooms and one family suite. The rooms are built as 28 individual and 6 interconnecting deluxe cottages. Each room opens to a private balcony and private views of the jungle. Each room features a décor with a blend of contemporary and traditional Nepali Furnishings with indigenous elements such as used wood, bamboo, elephant grass and animal arty-crafts.

Culinary experience at Barahi is an appeasement in itself. The lodge offers authentic Nepalese Cuisine enhanced with organically grown healthy food, topped with Himalayan herbs and homemade pickle. Delectable Continental, Indian, Thai and Chinese too form a part of our menu. At some distance from the cottages, our Tiger’s Den Bar environs in such a way that the motley nature can be felt closely and deeply. Our bar is well-equipped to serve aperitif-spirits, wines and liqueurs.
The evenings are filled with lively performances which brings the forest alive. Colorfully dressed Tharu girls and boys exhibit their culture through dance and music performances forming a rhythm that would definitely sway you with it. We also offer juggling and flaming shows on special requests.
